We’re pleased to announce the release of a new version of our Mobile application, ‘AppCan XP v2.0’. There’s so much to this release and it’s all aimed at making life as easy as possible for the most important people, i.e. those on the front-line, out on site.

Our AppCan user community has been asking for many new features, but chief amongst these is the ability to assign or unassign project / job packs from within the mobile app, and not to have to do this as a separate task within the web portal. Well, you asked; and we delivered!  ‘Swipe Left’ (iOS), or ‘Press-and-Hold’ (Android) is now your new best friend.  These simple gestures allow you to ‘Remove’ (unassign) or ‘Assign’ the project / job pack to whomever you need to have access to it. Important documentation can now be shared in a couple of taps!

This release also features new menu ‘quick-sort’ and data collector ‘hide’ options, plus the ability to activate a data collection form from within any project pack folder, based on the ‘Filing-from-Site’ settings applied to the folder.

Finally, the mobile data capture interface has had a face-lift. Section headers now turn green when all mandatory fields have been completed within the section, and sections can be expanded or collapsed on tap of the section header – great for keeping everything tidy as users work through their data capture forms.
